MoldWorks 2009 SP0 including Runners & Gates module has been released
MoldWorks 2009 SP0 for SOLIDWORKS 2009 includes runners&gates module as well as extension to DME inch catalogue (X,AX and T series)
Petah Tikva, Israel:September, 2009 R&B, developer of the computer-aided mold design (CAMD) technology used by more than 1,500 customers around the world, announces the release ofMoldWorks 2009 SP0 for SOLIDWORKS 2009 including the new Runners & Gates module, extension to the DME inch catalogues and many other new features, as well as extensive performance enhancements.
Runner Features:
– Preview of runner system according to input sketch(es).
– Parameter modification according to segment, path or on complete sketch.
– Automatic sink definition
– Definition of round, trapezoid and modified trapezoid runner types.
– Technological tree including modifications of runner system at all levels.

Gate Features:
– Creation from runner or on from any surface.
– Automatic penetration calculation and display
– Complete parameter and orientation control
– Calculation of penetration height and area
– Warning when gates exceed runner boundaries.
– Supports submarine, edge and fan gate types.
Additional functionality includes:
– FCPK (Polish mold catalogue) has been added.
– DME inch has been updated to include X series, AX series and T Series molds.
– Screw holes are now created with the Screw Hole Wizard function (and not as legacy).
– Heat Exchange now includes its own default catalogue and the components are included in the general MoldWorks specification system for properties and display.
– Spru bushing and the Spru bushing hole are added with shoulder fillet.
– Support Pillars can now be created as instances or copies.
– Performance increases of between 20%-50% across the different functionality.

MoldWorks 2009 SP0 is available as a download to all current MoldWorks subscription service customers.
