Company Background
R&B, Ltd. develops and markets powerful; easy-to-use 3D computer-aided mold design (CAMD) software for the plastic mold and die industry. The company was created in 1994 as a separate organization through the combination of investments from Regba Kal, Israel’s largest mold maker, and Bercom, a leading supplier of computer-aided engineering solutions for mechanical engineering design and finite element analysis. Today, R&B’s CAMD solutions provide engineers with a complete mold design environment including intuitive intelligence, powerful functionality, unprecedented ease-of-use and a huge library of commercial components from numerous manufacturers.
Company Strategy
In order to effectively compete in today’s dynamic mold and die market, designers and engineers recognize that they must make the transition from 2D drafting tools to a 3D solid modeling environment. By using R&B’s CAMD solutions,engineers and designers can save significant design time, reduce manufacturing errors, visualize and present stylized prototypes, and ultimately decrease production costs. Over 1000 mold makers around the world working on 5 different commercial Cad/Cam packages use our product finding it “easy to use and easy to learn” cutting down design time of the initial mold base from days to hours, and the detailed design from weeks to days!
Distribution, Support and Training
R&B sells its products through the combination of a worldwide network of authorized value-added resellers, system integrators and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s). The R&B Authorized Reseller Program ensures that only top CAD/CAM resellers are authorized to sell and support our suite of products. Resellers are selected based on depth and quality of technical personnel, business integrity and stability, and strength of customer service and support. All resellers complete extensive training in the use of our CAMD solutions. R&B offers comprehensive support and training through its resellers. In addition, R&B maintains a technical knowledge base to keep customers up-to-date via the Web.
